Elsewhere Motor Lodge
A familiar roadside motel. Three impossible views. An invitation to explore what’s on the other side of the door.

A place worth getting lost in.
Elsewhere began as a self-directed exploration of how a hospitality website could communicate a feeling before asking for a booking. Its premise is simple: an ordinary motor lodge where every room opens onto a different landscape.
The identity draws on roadside signage, warm interiors, and the small rituals of travel. An italic wordmark, cream paper tones, and wine-colored accents give the experience a familiar setting for something unexpected.
Choose a view. Follow the feeling.
Visitors can explore Tide, Alpine, and Orchard, then preview a stay through a responsive reservation dialog. Room selection carries into the form, where dates and guest count produce an illustrative stay estimate.
Tide takes the idea further. A tap moves the view toward the open doorway, then reveals room details. A lightweight canvas effect animates the water within the photograph while the interior stays still. The experience includes pause controls and a reduced-motion alternative.
Three rooms. Three different moods.

Small motion. A different atmosphere.
The water is a programmed ripple simulation using a still image, not video or a 3D environment. Animation runs only while the Tide experience is open and the tab is visible. Alpine and Orchard remain still.
